St Andrews Town

St Andrews Town

Take a wee bit of time out from the golf itself and explore the town of St Andrews. Enjoy the Museum and the historic buildings, or the Parks and Gardens, or even the Art Galleries and Museums; but leave time to try out some of the award-winning restaurants, or sit in one of the outside cafes watching the world go by.

But if you're still looking for that St Andrews golf souvenir, be sure to look around the fabulous shops. Yes, there are of course a number of golf shops, but you'll also find tartan and clan shops as well as loads of other goodies to tempt you.

Golfers ready to play.

Golfers

St Andrews is the "HOME" of golf, and this sport has become a way of life for many people in Fife for over 500 years, although I have to confess I do not play myself. But the ancient 'Old Course' in St Andrews attracts visitors from around the world.

If you are visiting the area, do go along to the British Golf Museum just a few minutes away from the Ancient Clubhouse, and find out about the history of the sport, and see how golf balls are made.

Of course there are actually over 40 superb Golf Couses in Fife; and I would highly recommended that you spend a wee bit of time having a game on one or more of them.
